The Better Business Bureau serving Mainland B.C. has announced the recipients of the 4th annual Torch Awards, which celebrates the achievements of businesses and individuals accomplishing great things in our community.
One recipient I thought was worth a mention here was Lunapads International Ltd. This women-owned, Vancouver-based business specializes in environmentally friendly alternatives to disposable feminine hygiene products, namely washable and reusable menstrual pads and panties that help divert waste from landfills. They received the Green Award for a forward-thinking, sustainable business.
