Today, I had the opportunity to take a walk in the forest. There were some great information boards positioned along the walk. Some of the information was very fascinating, in particular, the fact that a nursing log (a fallen log that now has stuff growing in it) is home to more living organisms than there are people on the planet!!! Wow, that’s so crazy. Learning about the diversity of all that is around us certainly births an appreciation. Understanding the complications and intricacies and the connectedness of all living beings is truly eye opening and mind boggling. It re-enforces the fact of how the smallest thing or change can effect the whole.
