Whenever washing up the dishes I will now be using less water per load. The water gets dirty fairly quickly and if the wash is large you have to re-fill the water anyway. So from here on, I will only be putting a shallow amount of water in the sink (just under the main knuckle of my index finger seems about right)

I always rinse my dishes before filling up the sink, I find this helps keep the washing water cleaner longer :)
