• the action of giving someone support, confidence, or hope.
• persuasion to do or to continue something.
• the act of trying to stimulate the development of an activity, state, or belief .

There is something to be said for encouragement.  When someone offers you encouragement, it re-ignites a flame that could be wavering on the edge of being extinguished.
That small kick or push that one gives you, despite how insignificant it may seem, holds a great deal of weight.  I wanted to thank a friend for his encouragement today (by linking to one of his posts) and to all those in the past that have offered words of encouragement.
