You would think It would be easy to adapt to the slow motion life of Costa Rica, but It takes a bit of practica.
Despite that there is nothing to really achieve, I still experience an underlying urge for urgency. “We must make this bus!”. Must we, really? I don’t think we do, and if there isn’t another one today, then we’ll just stay here another night.
As I say, it takes practice. The society I have been brought up in, has so much emphasis on ‘getting things done’ and in a timely fashion, with precision and structure. So with a hammock strung between two trees on the beach, I can certainly be encouraged to adapt to slow.
